About Event

Anyone who’s ever run dynamic and distributed systems knows one thing: if you can’t see it, you can’t trust it. Observability isn’t a luxury - it’s survival.

At our next Techforce meetup, we’ll dive deep into two real-world stories straight from the trenches — showing how better visibility can transform reliability, scalability, and even your sanity.

⚠️ Important: The first talk and moderation will be in Slovak, and the second talk will be in English.

TALKS

Road from ELK to Clickhouse/HyperDX in 3 months

Speaker: Tomáš Hulata, Lead DevOps at Pixel Federation

Our relationship with the ELK stack was… complicated. It did the job but at a high cost, constant babysitting, and with blind spots we couldn’t ignore.

As our systems evolved into a more distributed architecture, we needed tracing alongside logs and metrics which pushed ELK beyond its comfort zone. After evaluating alternatives, we decided to give ClickHouse a serious try. The results? Blazing fast queries, simpler operations, and a major boost in visibility.

This session is a deep dive into how we migrated our logging and tracing backend from ELK to ClickHouse — what worked, what didn’t, and what we learned along the way.

Babysitting the Bots: A Love-Hate Relationship

Speaker: Arthur Knaus, Senior Software Engineer at Sentry

AI agents are taking on more and more responsibility across our systems. While they're useful, they also create a new kind of chaos – one that doesn't show up in your usual dashboards.

In this talk, we'll explore how agent-based systems are reshaping observability, and why traditional metrics and logs no longer tell the full story as agents develop their own behaviors and decision loops. We'll look at what it means to observe systems that can act on their own, what kinds of telemetry we need to collect, and why working with AI still feels a bit like babysitting.

📍 Presentation language: English

Moderator: Juraj Šurman, Lead Server Programmer at Pixel federation
