create your own mask chain & fund the wesam water project!
Please reserve your ticket through this invite, then Venmo Rahma (@rahma214). Please include the email address you use to register on Luma in the caption of your payment! Tickets are priced on a sliding scale from $5-$30, so please send whatever amount you are capable of donating to the project.
All sales will go directly to the Wesam Water Project. Your reservation and payment receipt will be validated prior to the event. Tickets will be capped at 15 attendees this time around due to space limitations.
Curious to learn about more on the ground initiatives in Gaza that provide direct aid? Would you like to attend an informational session and craft at the same time? Then this event is for you!
This event will be held at the Lucy Parsons Center in Jamaica Plain. You will learn about the Wesam Water Project, a team in Gaza that circulates aid packages (including water, food, clothing, and school supplies) to families in Gaza. You will have the chance to ask questions and learn how to get involved directly in the project! During the session, you will also be creating your own mask chains! All supplies including stainless steel charms and chains, twine, beads, lobster clasps, and tools will be provided. Be sure to bring/wear the mask you'd like to wear your chain with, as this will impact the length of your chain.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE SPACE:
The center is a 10 minute walk from Jackson Square (orange line and bus stop).
There are spots for street parking across the street, and there is a parking lot beside the left side of the building.
The space is MASKS REQUIRED, we will provide you one once you arrive if you don't have one on hand.
