​This event marks the culmination of a scoping project exploring how to bring citizens directly into shaping the future of pensions policy.

​The report

​The UK pensions system is at a critical juncture. The Pensions Commission was re-established in 2025 to ‘finish the job’, and will issue its final report next year.

​Through this scoping project, we have worked with stakeholders from across the pensions system to identify the opportunities and considerations for citizen involvement - in particular through the use of deliberative processes.

​The event

​This event is for anyone committed to building a pensions system that is not only sustainable and adequate but also trusted and shaped by the people whose futures depend on it.

​At the event, you'll hear from the New Citizen Project team who have led this work and will share key insights and recommendations from their report. You'll also hear from a range of key influencers across the worlds of pensions and democracy.
