​an evening in 3 parts: group movement instruction, followed by a DJ set & deep listening.

​Coco Villa is a dancer, interdisciplinary artist, & educator. they lead an art-research practice investigating relations between body, object, & landscape rooted in African diasporic traditions. while Villa primarily works in analog photography & dance, their practice also includes costume design, performance art, & film. they utilize self-portraiture & movement languages to tell autobiographical stories, explore human intimacy, & build familial archives. driven by historical & scientific discovery, Villa thrives in the ocean, in the woods, in the dance studio, darkroom & library, playfully creating by hand.

​concon started dance practice as an exchange between nightlife culture & traditional movement practices. they run a DIY event space @a_soft_opening_ another expression of their love for creating supportive environments for grounding & connection. expect lush & transportive sounds, with textures & rhythms that bring you into your body.
