About Event

Choosing the right environment for your teenager matters.

Many youth programs focus on entertainment or passive learning.
Wayfinders was created to give teens something different: a chance to practice real independence.

In this mentor-led program, members work together to design a travel experience, earn most of the funding themselves, and learn how to plan and execute a real adventure as a team.

The trip is the outcome.
The real goal is helping teenagers develop initiative, responsibility, and confidence in the real world.

This information session is an opportunity for parents to learn how the program works and decide whether it is a good fit for their teen.

What We'll Cover

During the session we’ll walk through:

  1. How the Wayfinders program works

·       weekly cohort structure

·       how teens choose destinations

·       how members earn their travel funds

·       the planning process leading up to the trip

2. What teens actually learn

·       financial responsibility

·       initiative and work ethic

·       leadership and collaboration

·       planning and decision-making

3. Safety and supervision

4. Program logistics

You will also have time to ask questions and discuss whether the program is the right fit for your family.

Who This Session Is For

This session is designed for parents of teens who:

·       are curious about travel and independence

·       want more responsibility and real-world experiences

·       are ready to take initiative and work toward a shared goal

Wayfinders is designed for teens ages 12–15 in Toronto.

⚠️ Wayfinders cohorts are intentionally small (12–15 teens), so attending an information session is the first step for families interested in the next cohort.
