Welcome to Back in Session: Ember Sessions' one-year anniversary. A mini-lecture series where presenters share what they love and know with an audience eager to listen, ask questions, and connect.
A year ago, Ember Sessions started with a simple idea: bring people together to learn without pressure. Since then, we've hosted 5 sessions, welcomed 15 presenters, and built a community of curious minds who show up again and again. This one's for them, and for you.
Ember Sessions is for curious adults who miss learning without pressure. Each session features short talks from people who are deeply engaged in their work and interests, sharing knowledge, insight, and perspective they've earned through practice and experience.
The event is designed to feel structured but relaxed.
🥂 Arrival & Social Time: Arrive, grab a complimentary glass of wine (alc or non-alc), and settle in as the DJ, Thaddeus Jeffries, sets the tone and conversations begin.
📸 Picture Day: Channel your inner senior year self at our curated photo installation, because every good yearbook needs a great headshot.
🧠 Mini-Lectures: Listen in as three presenters each share a 10-minute talk on a topic they know deeply, each followed by audience Q&A.
💭 Closing & Linger: Stay awhile after the talks to reflect, connect, and talk through what resonated, with a friend or someone new.
