Crisis doesn’t create partnerships. Crisis reveals them
“Crisis doesn’t create partnerships. Crisis reveals them.”
This Saturday, 17 October at 11:00, SEE Community will bring retailers and suppliers together for a practical discussion on one of the most important questions in FMCG:
What differentiates partnerships that become stronger under pressure from those that become purely transactional?
Over the past five years, retailer–supplier relationships have been tested again and again — by COVID-19, demand spikes and shortages, inflation, difficult price negotiations, freight and logistics disruptions, rapid omnichannel growth and new regional uncertainty.
At our next session, we will look at these challenges from both retailer and supplier perspectives and discuss:
🤝 What really builds trust before a crisis happens
💬 How transparent should partners be when things go wrong?
💰 What separates productive price negotiations from destructive ones?
📦 How should supply be allocated when there isn’t enough product?
🔄 What makes collaboration genuinely strategic rather than transactional?
🚨 And most importantly: what should retailers and suppliers do now to be better prepared for the next disruption?
The session will be built around real experiences, specific examples and different points of view — not polished corporate answers.
Looking forward to another open and practical SEE Community discussion.
