As fellow founders/entrepreneurs, we realized that this combo can not only be a rollercoaster, but that it can also be hard to form a romantic connection with someone who's never ran their own business.
Building a company can shape our lives. It's intense and uncertain, we operate on an unconventional schedule, and the responsibility is real. For us, work is often not just a job. It affects how we think, how we spend time and how we imagine the future. For people who haven't lived it themselves, all this can be hard to relate to.
This event is for people who do understand this reality.

single and open to meeting someone romantically
What is this event for?
Brining people together in a relaxed setting where everyone knows that other participants are entrepreneurs, single, and open to connection. You can simply meet people, have conversations (maybe share some funny dating stories 😄) and see what happens. We want to create a room where meaningful conversations and spontaneous connections have a better chance of happening. We'll count the evening as a success if there are any friendships born from it or if people just have a good time.
What this event is NOT for:
speed dating
pitching, fundraising, recruiting, or making sales
pressure to leave with a date
alcohol-centered party
What to expect
a mocktail or other non-alcoholic drink on us 🍹
you can also buy your own drinks or snacks
intentionally small group
balanced gender ratio: we curate the event to make sure it's not a 80%-men-20%-women (or vice versa) kind of situation
registrations reviewed to make sure the event is relevant to each participant
no public list of participants: noone will see you registered for the event, and you won't see others either
warm and informal atmosphere
short welcome and a few shared ground rules (we're committed to safe-space principles ❤️)
lightly facilitated small-group conversations
plenty of time for natural, unstructured chats
optional and discreet way to express interest in staying in touch after the event
event will be held in English
all genders and orientations are welcome
no photography unless you really want to be on camera
event will be held in downtown Helsinki; we'll share the exact venue with approved participants a few days before the event

(Note: We changed the event title multiple times after for example realizing that "Dating as a founder" sounds like a panel talk 😭 and that "founder dating" means finding co-founders in the startup community, no romantic vibe whatsoever 🙈 We’re doing this for the first time and learning along the way.
