screen fatigue, decision fatigue, london fatigue, this is the antidote.
most of us are running on a nervous system that has been staring at screens, making decisions, and absorbing information at a pace it was never designed for. the result is a specific kind of tiredness that sleep does not fix, a saturation of the mind that makes it hard to think, hard to feel, and hard to be present anywhere.
nature is one of the few environments proven to restore the kind of mental fatigue that modern life creates. directed attention capacity is the brain's ability to focus deliberately, the resource you draw on when making decisions, processing information, or staying concentrated through a long day. research shows that natural settings allow this resource to replenish, because the brain shifts from effortful focus into soft fascination, a low-demand state of engagement that lets the mind recover without switching off entirely. the restoration is measurable.
dopa fix sits at the intersection of neuroscience, creativity, and community. we believe that beauty, nature, and sensory experience are not luxuries, they are legitimate tools for nervous system regulation. touch grass is how that belief becomes a walk.
we move slowly, we do not race, and there is no agenda beyond being outside together.
what to expect
a slow, unhurried walk through hampstead heath with a small group of people who also needed to get outside. no ice breakers, no group activities, no pressure to talk if you do not want to. the walk moves at a pace that lets you notice things. afterwards, we find somewhere nearby to sit, eat, and connect at whatever level feels right.
touch grass faq

what if the weather is bad? we walk rain or shine. if conditions become genuinely unsafe we will contact everyone with an update before the start time.
can i come on my own? yes, please do. most people come solo and leave having spent a few hours with people who get you.

what is the £1.99 community contribution for? it covers the cost of organising and curating the experience. every touch grass is free to attend in spirit, the contribution just keeps it running.
is there a code of conduct? yes. dopa fix events are welcoming, respectful, and safe for everyone. we do not tolerate harassment or harmful behaviour of any kind.
