​Beyond the Detail is NOMA Nevada’s virtual Lunch & Learn series focused on the technical knowledge that shapes the built environment. Each session brings industry professionals into the conversation to explore topics across building codes, construction, materials, and evolving industry practices.

​Our next session features Aubrey Larcheveaux of Barrier One, presenting “Preventing Concrete Moisture Failures in New Construction: How to Specify Protective Flooring, Roofing, and Waterproofing Systems.”

​The session will explore how Porosity Inhibiting Admixtures (PIAs) can improve concrete durability, waterproofing, and long-term performance. Attendees will also learn about common sources of concrete moisture, curing versus drying, and strategies for reducing risk, project costs, and schedule impacts across flooring, roofing, and below-grade applications.
