Griefy Walk in the Park: Carrying Mom’s Love & Complexity
Join the communities of A Grief Like Mine and Sorry For Your Loss (Cards) for a gentle community walk through nature as we honor mothers, grandmothers, maternal figures, and the many ways we experience and carry motherhood in our lives.
This gathering creates space for those navigating grief connected to motherhood—including love, loss, longing, and more complex relationships. All experiences are welcome here.
🗓 Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
⏰ Time: 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. PST (walk begins at 11:15 a.m.)
📍 Location: Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
🌿 Meeting Spot: Upper park parking lot → Burke Roche Picnic Area (picnic tables)
🚗 Parking: Ample parking is available at Kenneth Hahn Recreation Area. Parking is $10.
🌷 Motherhood can hold so many emotions at once—love, gratitude, grief, longing, tenderness, and complexity. This walk invites participants to honor whatever feelings may arise, while being gently held in community and nature.
🌿 Together, we’ll walk at a slow, grounding pace, allowing space for reflection, quiet conversation, and connection with others who understand the many ways grief can shape our lives and relationships.
Participants are welcome to bring a flower, photo, or small token in remembrance, if it feels meaningful to them.
💛 These walks are free to attend. If you’re able, we suggest a $10 donation to support the growth of this community and help us continue creating meaningful gatherings.
Come as you are—bring comfortable shoes, water, and an open heart.
