​Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) continue to face significant barriers to meaningful participation, autonomy, and overall well-being. This session brings together researchers, advocates, students, and professionals across disciplines to critically examine how social inclusion shapes quality of life and how evidence, policy, and practice can work together to advance equity.

​We will review key literature on determinants of inclusion, structural and societal barriers, and strategies for promoting fuller participation for individuals with IDD.
