NCDs and mental health: from declaration to delivery
Following the landmark adoption of the 2025 UN Political Declaration on Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and Mental Health, join us for a compelling discussion with global thought leaders and policy experts as we reflect on early progress in implementing the Declaration, explore lessons learnt and identify priority areas for accelerating action and strengthening support at the national level.
This session on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly in Geneva focuses on how governments, civil society and the private sector can support effective implementation for the UN Political Declaration on Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and Mental Health and turn global policy ambitions into national progress for people living with NCDs and/or mental health conditions.
Our expert panel will discuss key topics such as:
Key enablers for implementing the Political Declaration at the national level, with lived experience at the center
What successful implementation of the Political Declaration should look like at national and regional levels, including practical policy approaches or delivery models that can be scaled or replicated
How governments, regional bodies, civil society, and the private sector can work together to translate the Declaration’s commitments into action
Speakers to be announced soon
