Calisthenics is a strength and skill based sport, traditionally using just your bodyweight. In this session you’ll learn technique for pull ups, push ups, dips, as well as try out some skills on gymnastic rings.
Boxing is a combat sport. In this session you’ll learn proper technique for punching, learn some combinations and finish with a bit of conditioning.
Afterwards, we’ll recharge in the dopamine lounge and enjoy a meal together.
You don’t need any prior experience in either Calisthenics or Boxing, and there are no strength or fitness requirements. Whether you’re totally new to sport or already regularly exercising, the sessions will be suitable. Please bring a bottle of water, a towel and wear clothes and shoes you feel comfortable exercising in.
The world of sport and fitness has become more and more diverse and inclusive in recent years, but it’s still normal to feel intimidated or overwhelmed about trying a new sport, or going to a group fitness class. We have noticed this is particularly true for the FLINTA* community, especially in our disciplines of Calisthenics and boxing.
Sometimes in order to be inclusive, we do need separate spaces to explore fitness and movement safely and freely, so we are holding our first ever FLINTA Calisthenics x Boxing event at The Dopamine Studio, in partnership with the Adidas Sports Base.
