LA: Motherhood as a Mirror - Expectations
Motherhood as a Mirror: Expectations
What did you expect motherhood to feel like?
And what happens when reality asks something different from you?
Join Mysha and Motherhood as a Mirror for an intimate evening of reflection, conversation, and meaningful connection centered around the expectations we carry into motherhood — consciously and unconsciously.
The expectations around what a “good mother” looks like.
How we should feel.
What we should be able to hold together.
Who we thought we’d be in this season.
Together, we’ll create space to unpack the narratives, pressures, and inherited beliefs that quietly shape our experience of motherhood and identity. Not through advice or performance, but through honest conversation, guided reflection, and being witnessed by women navigating many of the same questions in real time.
This is not a lecture. It’s a facilitated, participatory experience designed to help you slow down, reflect more deeply, and feel less alone in the parts of motherhood we don’t always say out loud.
What to expect:
✨ Guided conversation and reflective exercises centered on the theme of expectations
✨ Thoughtful facilitation by Motherhood as a Mirror, Rozy Boswelll and Emily Brenes, in collaboration with Mysha
✨ Honest dialogue and connection with like-valued mothers
✨ Light bites, curated gifting, and space to exhale
✨ An intimate, warm environment designed for real conversation
Because motherhood has a way of reflecting everything back to us — our values, fears, identities, relationships, and the stories we’ve inherited about what it means to be “good” at all of it.
And sometimes, the most powerful thing is realizing you’re not the only one asking these questions.
Local/Premium members, please use your codes to RSVP.
Our gatherings are intentionally curated to protect the experience. If you cancel within 72 hours or don’t attend, a no-show fee equal to the ticket price will apply so we can honor the space for everyone.
