Mowbray Golf Course Open House

​The City of Cape Town is hosting a public open house on the proposed redevelopment of the King David Mowbray Golf Course and surrounds.

​The draft concept includes housing, affordable housing, public open space, sport facilities, community facilities, commercial uses, a school, restored waterways and a proposed new train station.

​This is one of Cape Town’s most important public land decisions. The site is large, well-located and close to jobs, rail, schools, hospitals and surrounding neighbourhoods.

​YU members, young people, civic groups and residents are encouraged to attend, review the plans, ask questions and submit a comment.

​We support the redevelopment in principle, subject to strong public-interest conditions. Public land must deliver public outcomes.
