Baltimore’s Fiery History: Exploring the BioPark’s Restored Firehouse
Step inside the historic Firehouse at the BioPark and explore Baltimore’s fascinating, and sometimes unruly, history of fire and firefighting. Tour the restored Firehouse while hearing stories of Baltimore’s early volunteer fire companies and notorious firehouse rivalries, the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904, and the evolution of firefighting in the city. Along the way, learn how this historic building has been preserved, given new life as part of the growing BioPark, and the vision for its future.
This event is part of the Doors Open Baltimore guided tours line up. BioPark tenants can participate for no cost by registering above.
