About Event

Is it even possible to be calm in the current chaos?

(Spoiler: yes.)

Many factors — political, economic, social, societal, familial, ecological, technological, and more — are messing with us. Things look scary, urgent, bad.

And nobody is coming to save us.

Now, more than ever, we must root down. Find ways to say no to infinite distractions and to practice yes to the present moment.

We didn't choose these circumstances, but we are the only ones who can regulate ourselves — regulate enough to do something good and meaningful in the face of it all.

In this workshop, Cory will facilitate simple skill-building practices. You will experience going from fast-heart-beating to calming yourself down in less than 30 seconds. We use the excellent neuroscientific research in the simplest, most practical ways.

Peace on earth? At least, peace in our hearts, at least some of the time. Take back the reins of your worried mind. Come co-create this workshop with us. You belong and you are not alone.

  10. What's the idea behind this workshop? A few, including

    1. You can grow from wherever you are now.

    2. We can’t talk our way into empowerment: we need practice.

    3. Navigating inner/interpersonal stress and conflict without panicking is an emotional intelligence skill that grows best in low-stakes settings like this.

    4. We need to build resilience communally, not just individually.
