Red Sky International Wildfire Convening
Wildfire does not stop at national borders. And neither should the solutions.
Every fire season generates hard-earned operational experience, scientific breakthroughs, and new technologies. Yet too often, these lessons remain within individual agencies or countries, even as communities around the world face increasingly similar challenges.
Co-hosted by the Stanford Sustainability Accelerator, FireWERX, Wildfire International, and CAL FIRE, the inaugural International Wildfire Convening is an invitation-only gathering that brings together global leaders from wildfire agencies, science, and technology to exchange knowledge, build trusted relationships, and explore practical solutions to the wildfire challenges no single nation can solve alone – from interoperable data and shared technical standards, to cross-border coordination during active incidents, to the secure exchange of knowledge and innovative technologies.
Hosted at Stanford as a partner event to the Red Sky Summit, this interactive forum is designed to spark meaningful collaboration through shared lessons, emerging innovations, and open dialogue. Together, participants will identify opportunities to strengthen international cooperation, surface coordination, research, and innovation gaps, accelerate the adoption of new technologies, and lay the foundation for an enduring global wildfire network.
As wildfire becomes an increasingly global challenge, the greatest breakthroughs will come from learning and working together.
