​This is a small, intentional gathering at Fabrik in Tribeca. We sit down together, and the coffee brews the way it's meant to — slow, in front of you, the whole process visible. While it steeps, we talk. About the work you're paid for and the work you're actually doing. About the part of your day that feels most like you.

​Field Notes / Lindsey Lerner documents the invisible labor underneath a working life — the reflection, the practice, the identity underneath the title. This is that same attention, scaled down to a table and a fresh cup.

​The coffee comes from Subra Coffee, co-founded by Dhruv and Melissa, who import green beans from farms in India, roast them here in Brooklyn, and are building something around the idea that coffee is a reason to slow down and actually be with the people in front of you. In India, the coffee isn't the transaction. It's the third space — the reason you sit.
