Queens Meets Malaysia: Next Level Pizza x Mama Lam's
Queens is bringing the heat this Saturday. 🍕🌶️
The super talented Serhan Ayhan of Next Level Pizza is teaming up with Mama Lam's — a locally owned, small-batch Malaysian condiment company out of Queens — for a collaboration nobody saw coming but everyone needs.
On Saturday, August 8th, Serhan is making two Malaysian-inspired Detroit Style pies:
🍕 LAKSA — A laksa-inspired coconut curry and sliced fish ball Detroit pie, built on Mama Lam's curry paste and finished with Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime, and Mama Lam's chili oil.
🍕 ROTI CANAI — A roti canai-inspired coconut curry and potato Detroit pie, featuring Mama Lam's curry paste and finished with scallion and Mama Lam's chili oil.
Available by the slice from 2–6 PM (or until sold out — and they will sell out). Mama Lam's products will also be available for purchase on-site.

Who is Serhan Ayhan?
Serhan is a Queens native who was practically born into pizza — his family ran a pizzeria in Astoria, and the love for the craft never left him. Today, he's a global ambassador for Ooni Ovens and has been featured across numerous media outlets for his passion for pizza and the culinary arts.
Most recently, he placed 9th out of 110 competitors in the International Pizza Challenge for World's Best Cheese Slice at Pizza Expo 2026 in Las Vegas. Not bad for a kid from Queens.

What is Mama Lams?
Mama Lam's is a Queens-based, mother-and-daughter food company that produces small-batch Malaysian curry pastes, sambal hot sauces, and condiments based on traditional family recipes. Founded in 2016, the brand brings homemade Southeast Asian flavors to retail markets and home kitchens.
