About Event

As systems change and collapse, how might we move with a stronger love ethic and commitment to collective liberation?

In this workshop, you will be guided through embodiment and imagination practices that support you to explore a relational freedom – one rooted in an ethic of love and interdependence, not escape or individualism. This will include brief reflection on feminist intersectional wisdom on freedom as relational; a somatic and earth based practice for examining space and connection in your own body; and reflection on where you might create more freedom for yourself and others you move with.

You will connect with others stewarding families, communities and/or organizations curious about: What do we actually want for ourselves and our communities? What identities and ideas is it time to put down? Who are we ready to become? What are the horizons I am ready to move towards? Who will we move with along the way?

You will walk away with somatic, earth based and imagination practices of freedom - that supports you to navigate this time of uncertainty and intersecting crises.

This workshop is facilitated by Shawna Wakefield, who is teaching the 8-week course The Undergrowth Sanctuary: Practicing Freedom as Strategy, as part of our Fall Semester.
