Research, But Better

​Most research starts with an answer already in mind. This session is about what happens when you stop doing that.

​In under an hour, I'll walk through why confirmation bias is everybody's problem, what actually happens to the answer nobody expected, and why real listening means letting the answer change the question.

​You'll leave with five questions to run on your next research project, and a different way of thinking about what counts as a useful answer.

​It's a look at what changes when you go looking for something you didn't know, instead of evidence for something you did.
