About Event
A group swim for those attending CBD COP17. Lave Sevan is known as the "Pearl of Armenia" and is one of the largest high-altitude freshwater alpine lakes in the world. It is about an hours drive from Yerevan. Depending on numbers we will divide up, catch taxis to Lake Sevan and have a swim at one of the beaches there. We can then grab coffee/lunch at one of the cafes there and then head back. Please note the water temperature will likely be about 11-14 degrees so you will need to be comfortable and have some experience of swimming in cold water and please bring warm layers for after swimming. You will take part at your own risk. If you want to come along and just paddle and drink coffee that is also fine!
