Whether you are a solo innovator or still a student, join us at BOTSRise Hack 2026 for an intensive hackathon designed to tackle critical challenges in Orthobiologics, Medical Devices, and AI application. Collaborate with industry leaders, physician entrepreneurs, and business experts to build tools that eliminate burnout and accelerate patient healing.
The Challenge
You have less than 24 hours to tackle real-world orthopedic problems—from regenerative medicine breakthroughs to AI applications. Build your network, develop a working prototype, and compete for the podium.
The Tracks
Track 1: Orthobiologics & Regenerative Medicine
Focus: Harnessing biology to heal the body from within.
The Problem: Musculoskeletal tissues currently fail to regenerate effectively after injury or degeneration.
The Hack: Design a novel delivery system (injectable, oral, etc.) to accelerate the healing of tendons, ligaments, or cartilage.
Alternative: Design the "Optimal Recovery Plan"—a data-backed nutritional strategy using supplements to maximize peak performance and surgical recovery.
Track 2: Next-Gen Medical Devices
Focus: Engineering durability and biological integration.
The Problem: Current joint replacements wear out or loosen from the bone over time.
The Hack (Surface): Design a new prosthetic or biologic shoulder joint using advanced materials that resist wear indefinitely.
The Hack (Interface): Create a prosthetic interface that biologically integrates with bone to eliminate implant loosening.
👥 Eligibility: Who Can Join?
The BOTSRise Hack 2026 is an inclusive platform designed for diverse thinkers. We believe the best orthopedic solutions happen at the intersection of different fields.
Open to All: Whether you are a student, resident, fellow, or an established founder, you are eligible to compete.
Diverse Backgrounds: We encourage participation from across all disciplines—including Engineering, Medicine, Data Science, Design, and Business.
Solo individual: Have a breakthrough idea but new to the startup world? Solo innovators and first-time founders are encouraged to apply—we’ll provide the platform to turn your vision into a venture
Startup Stage: Early-stage startups are welcome to use this 24-hour sprint to refine their prototypes and validate their concepts.

The most impactful innovations will be awarded cash prizes. A panel of expert judges will select the top 3 teams based on clinical impact, technical feasibility, and innovation:
