Sassy Salon - Brands & Creators, In the Same Room | London
A monthly morning for brands and content creators to connect properly. Live podcast recording, real introductions, and goodie bags for our fabulous audience. Hosted by Sassy Talent. Peckham.
Panelists: Rochelle Shanté and Mervyn Reid-Nelson sharing their insight about promoting and producing content with a purpose
Tired of cold DMs that go nowhere?
Sassy Salon is a monthly networking event for brands and content creators in London — bringing the right people into the same room so the conversations that usually take months of outreach can happen over a coffee instead.
Hosted by Sassy Talent, each session brings together approximately 30 brands and online content creators for a focused morning of panel discussion, structured introductions, and genuine connection. No pitch decks. No hard sell. Just the room.
This Month's Panel: : Rochelle Shanté and Mervyn Reid-Nelson
Our third Sassy Salon features a conversation with:
Rochelle Shanté is a writer, producer, and early years educator. She is the creator of Maama Ssanyu, a children’s TV series teaching preschoolers in the diaspora their heritage language of Luganda.
She has a background in PR, youth empowerment and coaching, working with clients such as Dove, V&A and O2 x Virgin Media, with storytelling being a common thread through her career.
Rochelle is a huge fan of starting over, building a new career path for herself once every 3-5 years. She is a believer in continually questioning what success looks like, and creating work that uplifts and inspires others.
Mervyn Reid-Nelson is a body confidence photographer based in London and the founder of You at Yours, a photography and coaching space helping people - especially women - find self-confidence without the use of Photoshop. Rather than focusing on traditional portraits, his work centres on making clients feel safe and helping them reclaim their bodies, an approach that's earned him the title of London's Best Boudoir Photographer three times over.
Mervyn's work has been featured in Forbes, and he's collaborated with the likes of Jameela Jamil at her event Move For Your Mind.
