Join us for an evening with M Lin celebrating her debut story collection <The Memory Museum> (Graywolf Press, 2026).

Born in Beijing and now based in New York, M Lin writes in English as her second language. Her work has appeared in Ploughshares, Joyland, The New York Times, and more.

This event will be moderated by poet and translator Pan Weijia. His debut poetry collection, Motherlands (Milkweed Editions, 2024), was selected by Louise Glück as the winner of the 2023 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize. His work has appeared in AGNI, Georgia Review, and elsewhere, and he is currently a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University.

✨ About the book An expansive debut exploring the lives of women across China and the diaspora. Moving between past, present, and imagined futures, these stories trace migration, memory, and the tensions of living between cultures. With emotional precision and political insight, M Lin writes characters navigating race, class, intimacy, and survival — finding moments of beauty and connection in uncertain worlds.

After the talk, stay for a book signing — and a casual KTV afterparty inspired by one of the stories 🎤
