Founders & Investors Poker Night — #SFTechWeek
Thursday, October 8
5:00 PM – 7:30 PM PT
Venture Dock | Palo Alto
Most Tech Week nights end with a business card and a half-remembered conversation. This one ends with a table you actually sat at for two hours.
We're closing out the week with a small, curated poker night for founders and investors who'd rather read someone across a table than across a pitch deck. Space is limited and RSVPs are subject to approval.
Professionally dealt tables, a full bar working the room, a spread worth stepping away from your hand for, and a space built for the kind of conversation that only happens when nobody's checking their phone between hands.
This isn't a mixer with cards in the corner. Poker is the whole night. No buy-ins - just the game.
The Format
Arrival & Drinks - Our bartender's on for the night - grab something off the bar and find your table before the first hands are dealt.
Poker - Professionally dealt tables, chips provided, no money on the table beyond bragging rights. Food's out all night, so nobody has to fold just to eat.
Closing Table - The night wraps with a final table and one last round together before people head out.
What You'll Take Away
A few hours away from the usual Tech Week script, some real conversations with founders and investors you'd otherwise never sit across from, and maybe a decent story about the hand that got away.

What is Venture Dock
Venture Dock is a founder-first community and fund based in Palo Alto and Milpitas. We give founders access to resources and relationships that would normally take years to build on their own — expert 1:1s every week, investor sessions monthly, and a Master Session where operators who've actually built and sold companies share what that was really like.
When it's time to raise, our Funding Labs walk you through it directly with investors in the room, and our Demo Days put you in front of our network once you've got traction to show. None of it works without the 200+ founders in the community itself — people who tell you what's working, and what isn't, before you find out the hard way.About the Event
