About Event

We hear statements like, “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer,” but does the data actually back that up? Spoiler alert: it does, but not in the way you might think. In this session we’ll explore WHY — the specific economic policies, practices, and larger cultural narratives that have reinforced economic outcomes in America. If time, we'll dig into the approaches some communities have taken throughout time to foster a broader sense of economic thriving. Our session will be led by professor Christopher B. Smith, MSW Program Director at Western Michigan University.

We don't want money to be a hurdle to participation. If you'd like to attend and need assistance, shoot me an email at hhiiaaddaamm [at] gmail [dot] com and we'll get you a code.
