Belonging is Power (workshop series) | Pillar 4: Belonging Without Losing Yourself

What does it mean to belong when you've grown up between cultures, moved to a new country, or learned to navigate different expectations about who you should be?

Many women develop incredible strengths through these experiences: adaptability, resilience, responsibility, and the ability to move between different worlds. But sometimes, in our efforts to fit in, succeed, or meet the expectations of others, we also learn to silence our needs, hold back our voices, or hide parts of ourselves.

In this workshop, we'll explore how our experiences of culture, migration, family, and belonging shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and take our place in the world.

Drawing on the practice of Shadow Work, we'll get curious about the invisible expectations and patterns we carry, the strengths we've developed along the way, and the parts of ourselves we may be ready to reclaim.

Together, we'll reflect on the roles we have inherited, the expectations we've internalised, and what it means to find our voice and create a sense of belonging without leaving parts of ourselves behind.

This is an invitation to pause, connect, and look at ourselves with curiosity and compassion; recognising where we are today and making space for who we want to become!

About the Facilitator

This session will be facilitated by Mounira Latrache, a coach specialising in Shadow Work. Born in Germany to a migrant family, Mounira brings a personal understanding of navigating different cultural worlds and the expectations that can come with them.

She has worked with more than 30,000 people across 40 countries, helping individuals develop greater self-awareness, build trust, and lead with intention. Her work is driven by the belief that what we don't see in ourselves shapes how we lead, how we relate to others, and what we pass on to future generations.

What to Expect

This is a space for women from different backgrounds to connect, listen, reflect, and be inspired by one another. We recognise that each of us is in a different place in our journey, within our families and communities, and in the roles we navigate in society.

This session is not a training or a professional advisory session. It is an opportunity for shared reflection, curiosity, and connection, with no expectation to share more than feels comfortable.

About Project Tres

Project Tres works to dismantle traditional aid models by equipping women with the tools for sustainable livelihoods and independence. Our approach is intersectional, integrating migration experience, local financial culture, and psychosocial empowerment.

We don't just help women navigate the systems around them; we create space for them to build the agency, confidence, and support needed to define their own paths.

Together, we will make space for new perspectives, shared experiences, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and one another. See you soon!
