Welcome to the 12th edition of the NCR Climate Party!
We are building a Scenius - collective genius - for Climate solutions in India.
The previous editions have witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,300 diverse Climate professionals across 6 cities.
What’s happening this time?
Let’s face it, climate change is a tough nut to crack. It’s horizontal-ness affects every aspect of our life - economic, social, political & environmental…in a lot of ways that we may not even know yet. To make sense of this whirlwind of a challenge, the need for stories & narratives is imperative.
Enter Climate Storytelling.
Whether it is convincing the investors about your super technical climate solution or enabling public at large to make sense of the extreme events occurring across India or simply making your neighbour realize the deep trenches of consumerism they’re stuck in with all those daily Amazon packages waiting to be picked up at their door, a well crafted narrative feeds action!
To help you learn the art of great storytelling (or narrative building) for climate problems & solutions, we’re bringing you three stalwarts who’ll guide you through real world case studies.
Milan George, Communications Specialist @CEEW: articulating stories from the grassroots to shape public policy. He is one of the forces behind the documentary series, Faces of Climate Resilience, which is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar!
Mairu Gupta, Founder & CEO @Antkind Collective: building brands & comms strategies for climate startups. He’s on a quest to make climate pop!
Namrata Kilpady, Campaign Director @Purpose India: crafting campaigns at the intersection of climate & society (gender justice, health and education). Her experience in broadcast journalism at the Times group and Network 18 & that of leading campaigns at Change.org, brings together interesting flavours.
🌱✨ All of us are (& need to be) storytellers, irrespective of what work we do. Join in if you’re building at the crossroads of climate.
As is customary, the learning session will be followed by a chance to discover climate solutionists in your city and experience climate games (stuff you’ve never experienced before).
