DAY TRIP | CARCASSONNE

​Located on top of a hill in the Languedoc area of southern France, Carcassonne is famous for its medieval citadel, La Cité, with several watchtowers and walled fortifications.

​The first walls were built during the Roman era, though they were expanded in the 13th and 14th centuries.

​Inside its walls, the Château Comtal, a 12th-century castle, stands out and currently offers archaeological exhibitions.

​Today, Carcassonne is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in southern France.

• ​8:00: Departure from Plaza España, next to the Venetian towers.

• ​11:15: Arrival in Carcassonne

• ​Upon arrival, we will take an optional tour to discover the most important sights of the medieval city.

• ​17:00: Return to Barcelona

• ​21:00: Arrival in Barcelona
