Not Alone in Helsinki
Summer in Finland can be beautiful, but it can also feel lonely when many people leave for holidays, cottages and their own circles.
Not Alone in Helsinki is a relaxed meetup for international people living in Finland who want to meet others, have real conversations and spend time together in an easygoing atmosphere.
This is not a formal networking event. No pitching, no pressure — just people, conversations and a summer evening in the park.
We’ll meet once a week during the summer. There will also be a WhatsApp group for the community, where you can ask others to join you for festivals, gigs, museums, lunch, walks, coffee or other plans.
If there is enough interest, we can also create more official events designed together with the community. The goal is to find like-minded people and build a community that can continue beyond the summer.
Potluck style: feel free to bring some snacks to share. You can also bring something to sit on.
Feel free to invite your friends. Everyone who wants to meet new people and feel more connected in Finland is warmly welcome. At the end of the summer, the person who has brought the most new people into the community will receive a small prize.
