About Event

Traditional antenatal classes introduce birth and baby care. They don't prepare you for the derailment:

The identity crisis. The sleep deprivation. The resentment when one partner's career takes the hit. The physical recovery nobody warned you about. That moment you realise how much your world has changed.

Parenthood is incredible - and hard.

We’re proud to present Parent Onboarding, an evening that tackles the hard stuff head-on with expert guidance, practical tools, and real conversation with other couples navigating the same transition.

Three specialists combining professional expertise with lived parenthood:

  1. Dr Abhinav Bhansali - GP & Co-founder of Joey. Father to an 8-month-old.

  2. Becky Selbie - UKCP Psychotherapeutic Counsellor specialising in maternal mental health, Founder of (M)otherway. Mother of two.

  3. Hilary Johnson - Former VP Product at Unmind, Founder of Village. Mother to a 3-year-old.

What you'll walk away with:

  • Clinical safety net for the 4th trimester - what happens to your body and baby, when to seek help

  • Frameworks to manage the mental load - so you remain partners, not roommates

  • Guidance through becoming a new parent - navigating the identity transformation without losing yourself

The experience:

3-hour interactive evening at The Lady Otteline, Bloomsbury. Proper meal and drinks in a private room. 12 carefully selected parents-to-be - you'll leave with expert guidance AND peer connections. Plus priority access to our vetted network of specialists and future events.
