Flying Whale Holiday Party
The Flying Whale Holiday Party
Join Flying Whale and Dacor for an evening of Senegalese cuisine paired with Flying Whale wines at the Dacor Kitchen Theater in New York.
A note from Maba
I grew up in Senegal, and some of my favorite tables are ones no one would think to set with a bottle of French wine. That's exactly why I love pairing them. Wine is usually matched with the same cuisines it always has been, but the bold, layered flavors of Senegalese cooking deserve a seat at that table too. This evening is my invitation to taste something new: two worlds in the same glass, and a sensory experience you won't find anywhere else.
On the table
Thieboudienne, Senegal's national dish of fish, broken rice and vegetables slow-cooked in a rich tomato sauce. If you've never had it, consider this your official introduction.
The best jollof rice in the world. Hands down. We know where the jollof wars stand, and we're not here to argue. We're here to let the rice speak for itself. (Come taste it, then tell us we're wrong.)
