Ladies 4-Week Tennis Clinic & Social (Oct 10-31) 🍁
Four Saturdays. Better technique. New tennis friends. 🎾
Join The Fairway Social Club for a beginner/intermediate-friendly tennis series at Lowell Tennis Courts on four Saturday afternoons:
Oct 10
Oct 17
Oct 24
Oct 31
Arrival: 2:30 PM
Tennis instruction: 3:00–4:30 PM
Snacks + mingling: until 5:00 PM
This is for the girls who have been meaning to get into tennis but do not want to figure it out alone.
Over 4 weeks, you’ll build the basics in a way that actually sticks: groundstrokes, rallying, serves, returns, volleys, doubles positioning, and casual match play.
The series is capped at 18 women with 4 coaches, so we’ll be able to split into smaller level-based groups once everyone arrives for the first session.
The goal is to leave feeling more comfortable on court, with better technique, more confidence, and a cohort of women you can keep playing with after the series ends.
Everyone will be added to a private fall cohort group chat so you can coordinate hitting sessions, ask questions, and stay connected beyond the four weeks.
Come solo, come with a friend, come if your racquet has been sitting in your closet for three years. This is a summer tennis series for learning the game, meeting people, and making tennis feel less intimidating.
What’s included:
4 weekly 90-minute tennis sessions
6 total hours of instruction
4 coaches
Level-based small groups
Beginner/intermediate-friendly instruction
Private summer cohort group chat
Light snacks and drinks after class
Final week social play / match play component
A built-in group of potential hitting partners for outside of the group lessons
FAQs
Do I need to be good at tennis?
No. This is beginner/intermediate-friendly. You should be open to learning and being active for a 90-minute class, but you do not need to be good.
Is this okay for complete beginners?
Yes. If you are new to tennis or feel rusty, you are welcome. We’ll split into smaller groups by level so you are not trying to keep up with people way above your pace.
What if I’ve played before?
Also yes. If you have played casually, taken a few lessons, or are getting back into tennis, this should still be a good fit. The level groups will help make the experience more useful for everyone.
Who are the coaches?
The series will be coached by SF Topspin Tennis Academy.
Do I need to bring my own racquet?
Please bring your own racquet.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable to move in. Tennis shoes are ideal, but athletic sneakers with good support are fine if you are just starting out.
Is this a one-time clinic or a full series?
This is a full 4-week series. Your ticket includes all four Thursday sessions.
Can I come to just one session?
No, this series is designed as a cohort, so tickets are for the full 4 weeks only.
What happens if I miss one of the weeks?
Because this is a small cohort with limited spots, missed sessions are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date. You’ll still remain in the group chat and can follow along with the cohort.
Will there be food?
We’ll have light snacks and drinks after class so people can hang out and mingle. Think casual court-side social, not a full dinner or brunch.
Will I be added to a group chat?
Yes. The private summer cohort group chat is part of the series so you can meet other women, coordinate hitting sessions, and keep playing after the four weeks.
Can I come alone?
Please do. A lot of people come to Fairway Social events solo. The whole point is to make it easier to meet people while trying something new.
Do I need to be a Fairway Social member?
No. There are no membership fees and no prior Fairway Social events required. Just sign up and show up.
