EarthTeam partners Freeland and International Wildlife Trust are collaborating with the Southeast Asian Police Network (ASEANAPOL) to build multi-agency task forces at border hotspots in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, and Vietnam, while also connecting them to one another, and to other countries and regions to share information and jointly dismantle some of the world's most destructive wildlife trafficking supply chains. In addition to the many law enforcement agencies involved, they are planning to add emerging infectious disease experts to the teams. Come here about project "TRIPOD-2", sponsored by the US State Department, results to date, and what comes next. The talk will be given by Freeland's Steve Galster and Prerana Sethiya, and IWT's Bruce Ohr.
