​2x Faster to Scale: What Sweden Needs to Speed Innovation from Idea to Volume Production

A round-table conversation with Growth Minds and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA)

Why we're doing this:
Sweden is a strong innovation nation, but we're small, and our real challenge isn't generating ideas, it's scaling them. Too much innovation stalls on the way from research and pilot to volume production. With this conversation we want to jointly identify the factors that matter most for significantly increasing Sweden's pace of innovation and development, and where industry, academia, and research institutes can pool their efforts. What we'll discuss Drawing on participants' own experience, we'll gather around three questions:
1. What are the most important factors for significantly increasing the pace of innovation and development in Sweden?
2. Which of these areas are most urgent to explore together, where experience-sharing or joint initiatives would add the most value?
3. Which working methods best drive the questions forward?

​The conversation builds on themes such as agile ways of working and parallelization, decision-making culture and leadership, AI and digitalization, the innovation ecosystem and scaling, regulatory and permitting processes, and collaboration across the entire value chain.

Format:
A round table, not presentations, but an active conversation between participants. Each participant brings 3–5 factors to share.
