Meshtastic: Make your own mesh network
Ready to break free from WiFi and cell towers? Come hang out with fellow tinkerers and tech lovers at Engineer Cafe for a hands-on evening building your own Meshtastic mesh network! Mesthtastic promises to offer an open source, royalty free, secure network that works anywhere without a carrier needed, up to 9Km, using IoT devices, phones, or even computers. Whether you’re a total newbie or already have a few nodes at home, Laurie and David will guide us through the basics, answer questions, and help everyone get connected—literally.
Bring your curiosity, your meshtastic hardware (if you have them), and your tinkering spirit! We will do a short presentatio, then break out into some demos and discussion:
range testing with Mesthtastic
alternative firmware options and apps for Meshtastic (we will try out the meshtastic cli , discuss Meshcore)
IoT sensor networks, emergency networks with meshtastic, private IoT communications, and other application
Brainstorm on community projects!
Sidenote: 名切加奈子が日本語でディスカッションを続ける予定です。
