Sauti ya Mama | An Immersive Storytelling Luncheon
"The Mother's Voice."
On the Tuesday of UNGA week, changemakers will convene for an elegant lunch in midtown and meet the women behind the statistics they support.
Sauti ya Mama is an immersive storytelling luncheon on Zanzibar's mothers, babies, and the momentum to change their story.
Guests arrive into a living exhibition. Editorial portraits and first person accounts carry you through the continuum of care, before pregnancy, through birth, and after mother and baby go home. The portraits hold joy, style and strength alongside complexity.
This is a love letter to Zanzibar.
The conversation turns from individual stories to the systemic response, under one question: what would change her story?
Government, foundations and frontline organizations are already moving together toward Zanzibar's 2030 goals, and thinking creatively about how to finance that work sustainably, from blended finance to the Blue Economy. You will leave understanding a model, not a case study.
Two things launch in this room.
Zanzibar Magazine, Volume 2, unveiled live.
