Recalibrate - nail that intro
Do you shiver a little inside when you have to briefly introduce yourself at industry events? Because I do.
As a hyphenated - high energy - impact focused professionnal, I usually dread the infamous "what do you do?" question in large gatherings.
It takes time:
- to answer authentically,
- to adjust to what resonates based on the other person's reactions
and very few people have time for a proper chat in packed transactional settings... hashtag#TimeIsMoney 😅
Yet when a proper chat does happen, these first minutes of connection are a precious pathway to a bigger, deeper conversation. And hopefully a great relationship moving forward.
I believe they deserve preparation, attention and care. And loooots of practice 😅
So to carve some time for this "important not urgent" prep and make it a priority in my calendar, I am happy to host a "Recalibrate - nail that intro" session!
Details:
- Who can join: you have a series of events or business gatherings in the coming days/weeks, and want to feel slightly more aligned with the way you introduce yourself
- When: this Tuesday 27th at 4.30 pm CET online, for 1 hour
- What should you bring: come as you are, no need for fancy preparation.
We'll explore a handful of scenarios and pick the most useful for you (sbdy you never met, you vaguely know the person and need a refresher, you meet an industry expert, a competitor etc), and possibly use of a bit of AI to spark some ideas.
Each of us will work on our own intros during most of the session. We may share feedback to one another if people want to.
- How much: it's free. I am hosting it as an accountability tool for me, because I reallyyyy need to re-work my intros. And I suspect I am not the only one in this situation :)
- What can you expect: at least 2 or 3 decent ways to briefly introduce yourself in a couple of minutes, and shape the conversation where you want it to go.
PS: for founders/investors who have their intro pitch already nailed, I guess the dread applies to the nearly as cringy "let me know how I can help?" question... --> you'll brainstorm on a long list of actionable asks that people could grant you right away.
See you there!
