Hier geht's um Themen wie Akquise, Steuern, Social Media, Mental Health, bestimmt AI und alles, was Dir sonst noch auf der Seele brennt.

​Aber was genau ist eigentlich ein Barcamp?

​Ein Barcamp ist eine sogenannte Unkonferenz: Kein starres Programm, sondern alle Teilnehmenden können selbst Inhalte einbringen. Egal, ob Du eine Präsentation halten möchtest, eine Diskussion moderierst oder einfach nur Fragen zu einem bestimmten Thema hast – Du gestaltest das Programm mit! Unser Freelance Barcamp heißt alle willkommen – besonders Frauen und queere Menschen – und bittet alle Teilnehmenden, gemeinsam einen respektvollen, inklusiven Raum zu schaffen.

​Grober Ablauf des Barcamps

​Los geht’s um 9 Uhr mit einem entspannten Frühstück (Croissant & Coffee), bei dem Du die anderen Teilnehmenden kennenlernen kannst. Um 10 Uhr planen wir gemeinsam die Sessions der ersten Tageshälfte. Danach gibt es zwei Runden voller inspirierender Sessions auf Deutsch und Englisch. Um ca. 12:15 Uhr machen wir eine Mittagspause, in der wir in kleinen Gruppen nach draußen gehen und uns unser Mittagessen selbst organisieren (und bezahlen). Ab 13:30 Uhr geht’s weiter mit dem Planning für den Nachmittag und drei weiteren Session-Runden, bevor wir ab 17 Uhr den Tag gemeinsam in der Nähe ausklingen lassen.

​Themen

​Wie bei einem Barcamp üblich können wir nicht genau sagen, welche Themen und Vorträge es geben wird. Denn das gestaltet Du zusammen mit den anderen Teilnehmenden selbst. Grundsätzlich ist alles rund um das Freelance Life willkommen. Wir vermuten ganz stark es wird um Dinge wie Mental Health, Akquise, Buchhaltung und Steuern, Social Media, CVs, Bewerbungen und Tagessätze gehen. Überleg dir am besten schon im Vorfeld, welches Thema Dich besonders interessiert oder worüber Du gerne sprechen würdest. Je mehr Ideen und Input, desto spannender wird der Tag für alle!

​Warum kosten die Tickets diesmal etwas?

​In den letzten Jahren konnten wir das Freelance Barcamp dank unserer Veranstaltungspartner kostenlos anbieten. Diesmal haben wir uns gegen Sponsoring entschieden und dafür, den Tag gemeinsam zu finanzieren. Die Ticketpreise decken genau das, was der Tag kostet: Getränke & Kaffee, Frühstück, Kleinkram und Orga. Niemand verdient daran etwas.

​Du entscheidest selbst, welches Ticket zu Deiner Lage passt:

• ​Supporter <3 (39 € brutto) – das Jahr läuft. Du zahlst etwas mehr und finanziert damit die ermäßigten Plätze mit.

• ​Standard (29 € brutto) – der reguläre Preis, Du kommst für deine Kosten auf.

• ​If money's tight (9 €+ brutto) – wenn gerade wenig geht. Zahl einfach, was möglich ist.

​Keine Nachweise, keine Nachfragen. Du weißt selbst am besten, wo Du gerade stehst. Vor Ort werden alle gleich behandelt!

​Und wie immer: Die Plätze sind begrenzt. Wenn Du es doch nicht schaffst, melde dich bitte rechtzeitig wieder ab, damit andere nachrücken können. Wer sich nicht abmeldet, hat ganz schnell keine Freelance Ehre mehr! ;)

​Location & Versorgung

​Wir sind zu Gast im Coworking und Eventspace Techtelmechtel am Ostkreuz. Bitte verhalte dich entsprechend respektvoll. Der Space ist mit dem Rollstuhl erreichbar, allerdings nicht offiziell barrierefrei ausgestattet. Solltest Du Unterstützung zur Teilnahme benötigen melde dich gerne bei uns.

Während des Barcamps wird es Getränke und gesunde Snacks wie zB Obst geben. Morgens werden wir auch Kleinigkeiten wie Croissants zum Frühstück organisieren. Mittagessen erfolgt selbstorganisiert und auf eigene Kosten.

Das Freelance Barcamp wird von Judith Böhlert, Freelancerin im Bereich Full Stack Entwicklung und Michael Martens, interim Product Lead & Moderator, organisiert.

Then our Freelance Barcamp is just the right place for you! Topics include client acquisition, taxes, social media, mental health, definitely AI – and anything else that’s on your mind.

​We’re looking forward to meeting you and hearing your input!

​But what exactly is a Barcamp?

​A Barcamp is what’s called an “unconference”: no fixed agenda, but instead everyone contributes their own topics. Whether you want to give a presentation, facilitate a discussion, or simply ask questions about a specific issue – you help shape the program!
Our Freelance Barcamp welcomes everyone – especially women and queer people – and asks all participants to co-create a respectful, inclusive space.

​Schedule

​We’ll start at 9:00 AM with a relaxed breakfast (croissant & coffee) where you can get to know the other participants.
At 10:00 AM, we’ll plan the sessions for the first half of the day. After that, two inspiring rounds of sessions (in both German and English) will take place.

​Around 12:15 PM, we’ll take a lunch break, heading out in small groups to organize (and pay for) our own meals.
From 1:30 PM, another planning and three more rounds of sessions will follow, before we wrap up the day together from around 5:00 PM. Also, we will organise a venue nearby for a round of drinks after the barcamp.

​Topics

​As is typical for a Barcamp, we can’t say in advance what the exact topics and talks will be – that’s up to you as participants!
Generally, anything related to freelance life is welcome. We expect themes like client acquisition, taxes, social media, mental health, CVs, job applications, and accounting.
It’s best if you already think beforehand about what you’d like to discuss or learn more about. The more ideas and input, the more exciting the day will be for everyone!

​Why do tickets cost something this time?

​In previous years our event partners let us offer the Freelance Barcamp for free. This time we decided against sponsoring and for funding the day together. The ticket prices cover exactly what the day costs: drinks & coffee, breakfast, small things here and there and organising. Nobody makes a profit here.

​Pick the ticket that fits where you are right now:

• ​Supporter <3 (€39 brutto) – the year is going well. You pay a bit more and cover the reduced spots for others.

• ​Standard (€29 brutto) – the regular price that carries the day.

• ​If money's tight (€9+ brutto) – when things are tight. Pay what you can.

​No proof, no questions. You know your own situation best. And on the day, everyone is treated the same.

​As always: spots are limited. If you can't make it after all, please cancel in time so someone else can take your place. Anyone who doesn't cancel loses their freelance honour very quickly. ;)

​Location & Catering

​We’ll be hosted at the Techtelmechtel, a coworking and event space close to Berlin Ostkreuz. Please treat the space with respect. The venue is wheelchair accessible but not fully barrier-free. If you need assistance to participate, just reach out to us.

​During the Barcamp, drinks and healthy snacks (fruit, etc.) will be provided. In the morning, we’ll also organize a light breakfast like croissants. Lunch will be self-organized and at your own expense.
