About Event

About the workshop

You do not have to relocate to build a global career.

This live session is for Nigerians who want to work with international teams, earn in foreign currencies and build careers that travel across borders while still living in Nigeria.

Together we will unpack:

  • How to find and qualify for remote and global roles

  • How to stand out in international hiring pools as “the Nigerian candidate”

  • How to build a personal brand that works across time zones and cultures

Come ready to ask honest questions, take notes and leave with a concrete plan.

What you will leave with

By the end of the session you will walk away with:

  • A simple roadmap for going global from Nigeria

  • A visibility checklist to get “remote ready”

  • Practical steps for applying, networking and positioning yourself for global opportunities

Format

  • 40 minutes: moderated panel conversation

  • 15 minutes: audience Q and A

  • 5 minutes: wrap up and resource drop

Meet the speakers

Tamilore Sonaike
Writer and content strategist

Tamilore has written for global brands and funds including Fenwick and Bessemer Ventures. She built her career as a Nigerian professional working with teams across the US and Europe. She will share how she broke into global client work, how she prices her skills and how she manages time zones and expectations from Lagos.

Tamilore Oladipo
Senior Content Writer, Buffer

Tamilore works at Buffer, a fully remote global company, while living in Nigeria. She has navigated remote hiring processes, portfolio building and performance expectations across borders. She will speak about what international companies really look for, how she stays visible on a global team and how Nigerians can position themselves for similar roles.

Who this is for

This workshop is for:

  • Early and mid career Nigerian professionals who want to work for global companies

  • People in marketing, design, operations, tech or communications who want to “go remote”

  • Professionals who want to earn globally without relocating

  • Anyone who feels stuck locally and needs a clear path to global opportunities

You do not need to be in tech. You do not need to have international experience yet.
