No Pasarán! brings together community organisations, artists, young people, changemakers and engaged citizens for a day of remembrance, dialogue, culture and community.
The event honours the legacy of Kerwin Lucas Duinmeijer, whose murder in 1983 became a catalyst for anti-racism activism in the Netherlands. Organised by Comité 21 Maart in collaboration with a wide range of partners, including the Mama Baranka Foundation and many other community organisations.

15:00 – 15:30 Demonstration at Dam Square
Participants gather at Dam Square to reflect on contemporary challenges and the importance of standing up for equality, justice and democracy.
15:30 – 16:30 March from Dam Square to Vondelpark
A collective walk through Amsterdam bringing together individuals, communities and organisations from across the Netherlands.
16:30 – 18:00 Commemoration of Kerwin Lucas Duinmeijer
A remembrance ceremony at the Mama Baranka Monument in Vondelpark, honouring the life and legacy of Kerwin Lucas Duinmeijer and reflecting on the continued importance of inclusion and solidarity.
18:00 – 21:00 No Pasarán! Protestival
An evening programme featuring performances, speakers, community organisations, information stands, culture and opportunities for dialogue and connection.
This is more than a commemorative event. It is an opportunity to learn, connect and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
