💡 What’s the deal?

Storytelling in the climate movement matters more than ever in a time of intensifying climate impacts, shrinking funding, and political division. But where is it heading next? Which stories will cut through the noise and spark real action?

Join us for a Duke Climate Alumni Fireside Chat with Cameron Oglesby ‘21 / MPP ‘23, an environmental justice organizer, journalist, and storyteller redefining how climate narratives shape action and equity. Cameron is an Aspen Institute Future Climate Leader and a National Geographic Young Explorer. Her work has appeared in outlets including The Nation and Grist, among others.

🎙 What's the focus?

This session will explore Cameron’s career journey and share practical insights for creating climate stories that are ethical, powerful, and effective. No matter your background, you’ll leave with tools to become a stronger climate storyteller—and your own narrative strategist.

More info on Cameron is available on her website and LinkedIn.

🗓 When: Feb 26th at noon PT (3pm ET)
📍 Where: Zoom (link provided upon RSVP)
🎟 Who’s invited? Anyone interested in learning more is welcome to join (priority will be given to Duke alums based on space). Our goal is to democratize climate knowledge, so we’ll share written summaries and key recorded snippets with anyone eager to engage—even if you can’t attend live!
