Vanloan Nguyen is a biotech entrepreneur dedicated to advancing life sciences through innovation and accessibility. As the founder and CEO of Berkeley Pharma Tech, she is on a mission to launch 100 biotech companies in the next decade, focusing on transformative healthcare solutions. She also leads the Berkeley Pharma Tech Foundation, a nonprofit committed to expanding biotech education and industry access.
Her work spans multiple cutting-edge fields, including digital diagnostics for PTSD and neurogenesis research for stroke recovery. Most recently, she has been focused on spinning out technology from Stanford in the women’s fertility space, aiming to revolutionize reproductive health.
Vanloan is also affiliated with Life Science Angels in Silicon Valley and 1891 Angels, a Johns Hopkins alumni group of angel investors, where she helps evaluate and support promising biotech startups. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins University.
