How to grow your AI startup 20X in two years
AI liftoff!
Amit Koshal tells the story behind Photon Legal, and how the company has transitioned from a traditional law firm to an AI-native IP company. He'll share how he took the bold move of dropping 90% of his clients and how that has helped Photon pave the way for 20X growth.
Most founders never get to watch someone rebuild a business in public. This is that, told plainly, in a living room, with the parts that went wrong left in.
What we'll get into
Why cutting most of the client base was the only way forward, and what it felt like at the time.
What actually changes when a services business becomes an AI-native product business. Pricing, hiring, margin, all of it.
How to offer a guarantee your competitors cannot match without going broke.
Where AI genuinely replaced work inside Photon, and where it turned out not to.
Who this is for
Founders building in vertical AI. Founders running services businesses they want to productise. Operators who own go-to-market at either. The room is small on purpose so the conversation stays a conversation rather than a talk.
About Amit
Amit Koshal is the co-founder of Photon Legal, an AI-native intellectual property company built for protecting innovation in US technology companies. He trained as an engineer before he trained as a lawyer, and spent his early career as in-house patent counsel at Motorola, where he worked on the iconic Razr V3.
Photon Legal charges one fixed fee per patent, covers unlimited office actions inside it, and refunds the whole fee if the patent is refused. Photon's grant rate is 97% against an industry average closer to half that, and patents come through in under eleven months rather than three or four years.
Amit also hosts Photon Spotlight, where he has recorded over 120 conversations with General Counsels and Chief Legal Officers from companies like Airbnb, OpenAI, Google, 6Sense and Automation Anywhere.
