Innovative Hire (4 Week Course)
4-Week Certification Series: (No cost to applicants)
This hands on, four-week workshop series has a 95% interview rate and a 65% hire rate. Designed for job seekers to get through the algorithms and have an opportunity to be interviewed. Develop conversational skills, learn best practice for video presentations and how to navigate a new job board.
This series introduces participants to Ceemingly.com, a video-based hiring solution in King County.
Important: Participants are encouraged to bring their resume (PDF format) and, if available, a pre-recorded video resume to class but this is not required. Bring your laptop if you have one! A pen and workbook will be given to each attendee and will be required to bring to each class! It's yours to keep!
Class Schedule:
Class 1: October 10th, 2026, 11am-1pm - (All About the Resume) Learn how to build Ceemingly's proven 95% Interview rate resume and how to properly use AI to assist you on building it.
Class 2: October 17th, 2026, 11am-1pm - (Use Your Resume for Interviewing). Learn how interview questions connect to your resume and practice presenting your experience with confidence.
Class 3: October 24th, 2026, 11am-1pm - (Create a Video Cover Letter & Video Resume) - Learn how to create professional video resumes and video cover letters and build a free Ceemingly profile.
Class 4: October 31st, 2026, 11am-1pm (Applying on Ceemingly and Ceremony) - Come dressed in your costume it's Halloween! - Learn how to navigate the Ceemingly job board, find opportunities that fit your experience, and apply using video resumes.
Participants will learn how to:
Understand how modern hiring systems screen candidates
How to use AI "properly" for resume building
Create a Ceemingly applicant profile (No cost)
Learn how to record a clear, professional video cover letter and video resume using basic equipment (Equipment available for use on site if needed)
Learn the 6 essential skills and how to communicate your experience and career goals confidently
Align video presentations with their resume and what local employers look for when reviewing candidates
Hands on Workshop with Mock interviews
Information on local employers that are hiring and role alignment
How to properly apply for work
Learn how to navigate the Ceemingly job board and apply for work using video resume attachments.
Sessions includes a live demonstration, step-by-step guidance using Ceemingly’s 59-second video resume framework and great interviewing tips. Time will also be reserved for questions and answers as well as participant support in each class.
This workshop is designed to give a voice and opportunity to all applicants including individuals impacted by limited access to technology and to support equitable hiring opportunities.
All certificates from graduated applicant students will have a serial number unique to your name. Any employer that hires an innovative hire will receive a reduced cost on their Ceemingly hiring fee.
Ceemingly Inc. is a partner of Workforce Development Council our course is UI, BFET credit approved.
