Feng Li Su (鳳梨酥) are Taiwan’s beloved pineapple treats, known by many English names, such as “Pineapple Cakes,” “Pineapple Pastries,” “Pineapple Shortbread,” or “Pineapple Cookies.”
These sweet delicacies are often given as gifts, as the word “pineapple” in Taiwanese Hokkien sounds similar to “prosperity arrives.”
