About Event

Nina de Korte is author of the book 'Toekomstbedrijven' (Future Companies) about steward-ownership. For this book, she and her co-author interviewed ceo's from companies in tech, infrastructure and services that have one thing in common: not shareholders, but stewards hold the majority of the company shares. Patagonia, TBI, Novo Nordisk, Zeiss, Bosch and Ecosia are well known examples of steward-owned companies.
Nina has been part of We Are Stewards - the leading organization on steward-ownership in the Netherlands, and currently holds a position at the Centre of Expertise Digital Operations & Finance at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. At this moment she is researching how steward-ownership principles can be applied to agricultural land, and how steward-ownership can be a solution to Big Tech dependency in Europe.
